Wow! Former ‘Smallville’ actress #allisonmack has been arrested for alleged involvement in a #sexcult 😧 Sounds like a #masterdom #gonewrong πŸ—⛓

UPDATE:

Actress Allison Mack has pleaded not guilty after being arrested last Friday for her alleged role in the notorious sex slave cult NXIVM (pronounced Nexium), with horrifying details of her alleged involvement revealed in court. Like many cults it lures members by offering them 'self improvement' classes.

The group’s leader, Keith Raniere, was arrested for sex trafficking and forced labor last month. He was extradited to the US from Puerto Vallarta in Mexico and is being held at a federal prison in Oklahoma City, without bond.

Mack, listed as “Co-Conspirator 1” in the criminal complaint, was previously last seen chasing after the police car that took Raniere away from the villa in Mexico where he had been hiding.

Former child actor Mack, now 35, was cult leader Keith Raniere’s direct “slave” and had a sexual relationship with him — but also acted as a “master” to other slaves, who were forced to have Raniere’s initials burned into their pubic region with a cauterizing pen, according to the criminal charges.

As the women were being branded like cattle, Mack allegedly placed her hands on their chests and told them to “feel the pain” and to “think of [their] master,” prosecutors allege.

The actress first lured the women into the secret society within Nxivm known as “The Vow” — and cajoled them into providing “collateral” like embarrassing photos and statements to use as blackmail, prosecutors allege. She then allegedly groomed the slaves for sex with Raniere — ordering them to adhere to extremely restrictive diets, to refrain from removing their pubic hair and to stay celibate, according to court documents.

“Ms. Mack was one of the top members of a highly organized scheme which was designed to provide sex to [Raniere],” Assistant US Attorney Moira Penza said in court last Friday. Mack also forced them to pose naked for photos — “including on one occasion close-up pictures of their vaginas” — which were given to Raniere and also used as collateral, the feds claim. The whole operation operated like an extortion plot, with the women forced to follow his directions after revealing “highly damaging information about themselves or family members,” authorities allege.

One victim told investigators that Mack instructed her to meet Raniere in the middle of the night, authorities said. She did as instructed and was blindfolded. The woman told police she was tied to a table and forced to engage in oral sex with an unidentified person

During her court appearance, it was revealed that Allison Mack last year married Battlestar Gallactica actress Nicki Clyne, who was spotted hiding out in Mexico with Mack and Raniere when US authorities tracked down the cult leader last month. Mack was reportedly introduced to the self-help group around 2006 by her Smallville co-star Kristin Kreuk who signed up, but got out before female acolytes began getting forcibly branded.

Kruek put out a statement after Raniere’s arrest last month saying she left the group five years ago, did not experience any nefarious activities, and has denounced his alleged abuse of women. She has yet to make a comment on Allison Mack's arrest.

When I was about 23, I took an Executive Success Programs/NXIVM "intensive," what I understood to be a self-help/personal growth course that helped me handle my previous shyness, which is why I continued with the program.

I left about five years ago and had minimal contact with those who were still involved. The accusations that I was in the "inner circle" or recruited women as "sex slaves" are blantantly false. During this time, I never experienced any illegal or nefarious activity. I am horrified and digusted by what has come out about DOS.

Thank you to all of the brave women who have come forward to share their stories and expose DOS; I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you. I am deeply disturbed and embarassed to have been associated with NXIVM. I hope that the investigation leads to justice for all those affected.
