#TMITuesday: June 5, 2018 ~ What kind of person are you?

Relationships, whether work related or personal, can be complicated puzzles. [Image © Tessa Fowler]

1. Are you addicted to any social media (twitter, instagram, snapchat, etc.)?
~ I wouldn't say Im addicted, but then addicts never say they are do they? I spend too much time on Social, yes, but since I've been sick for the last week I found it easy to just sit in bed and watch Netflix all day instead. I was too sick to even look at my Social accounts and... I discovered it didn't matter!

2. You know a secret about someone. What do you do with that information?
a. I keep it to yourself
b. I tell my best friend
c. I wait until they hurt me and use it as ammunition
d. I tell everyone I can, I don’t mean to, I just cannot keep a secret
~ A mixture of [A] and [C]. I don't share secrets but I'm not above using them for my own gain if pushed far enough ie if you're about to blast me badly I might just give you a little heads warning first - that it will be Mutually Assured Destruction. It would have to be the nuclear option though, before I ever went public. I've always believed/known that Knowledge is Power so I'm not afraid to sit on stuff.

3. You see someone breaking the rules at work, what do you do?
a. Pretend not to see what is going on
b. Inform upper management
c. Advise the co-worker that their actions are frowned upon and can lead to job loss
d. Tell everyone else in the office what you saw
~ It would depend on the rule broken. If someone is taking a few marker pens and a ream of photocopy paper then I'm not going to get involved. If they're getting drunk at lunch and going home after to sleep it off but telling the office they're out 'on client visits' all afternoon on a regular basis then I might send an anonymous email to someone.

4. A friend has a new hairstyle that is un-becoming, and not really age-appropriate on them. They ask you how they look. What is your reply?
a. You look just fine.
b. You look much better this way.
c. OMG, you look a bit ridiculous.
d. *Silence*
~ None of the above. I'd tell them I don't personally like it and ask them (nonchalantly) if the think it's age appropriate. If they think it is and they love it themselves then I'll leave them be. Unless I'm their boss or manager and I'm obliged to rein them in.

5. How helpful are you at home?
a. I come home and immediately veg out on the couch/bed.
b. I cook and clean a few times a week.
c. I am extremely helpful.
d. I do what I am asked and nothing more.
~ I do my own laundry and ironing. I no longer do hers because she has ten different fabric types and six different detergents (or non detergents) to wash them with. We have a cleaner once a week who takes care of mosts things. I don't cook because my wife doesn't like what I cook, so we eat out a lot. When my wife cooks (which is often, also) I clean up the aftermath. It's a good-ish system that generally works for both of us. As for the in-between stuff I've told my wife just to tell me what she want me to do and I'll do it. To many partners stew in silence because they expect the other person to magically 'know' what they should do, 'without having to be asked'. Usually because 'if you really loved me you'd know!" - that's bullshit, if you think your partner is a mind reader you're just gonna upset yourself.

Bonus: In your opinion, what is the best city in the world? Why?
~ New York. I'm still trying to get an apartment there but I'm waiting for the price crash. Why? Because I love it, it's just so cool and a hub to pretty much everywhere ie Asia and Europe. I've never actually spent a winter there so I'll probably do that before I buy, just to experience what its like. But then I'll probably fly south for the winter anyway so it probably won't matter how bitterly cold it gets.

Double Bonus: You can read about Masturbation Monday here. I thought my #SoSS post was good but no one read it.

How to play TMI Tuesday: Copy the above TMI Tuesday questions to your webspace (i.e., a blog). Answer the questions there, then leave a comment below, on this blog post, so we’ll all know where to read your responses. Please don’t forget to link to tmituesdayblog from your website!

Happy TMI Tuesday!
